Chester Engineers appoints senior vice president and chief technical officer
PITTSBURGH, PA -- (November 6, 2007) -- Robert O. Agbede, president and CEO of Chester Engineers, is pleased to announce the appointment of James H. Reynolds, Ph.D., P.E. as Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer.
Dr. Reynolds reports directly to the CEO and his responsibilities include implementing QA/QC controls and ensuring that the company is on the cutting edge of new technology.
He brings to Chester Engineers an extensive background in industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment as well as vast experience in biosolids management and disposal. He holds 12 wastewater treatment patents.
Dr. Reynolds joins Chester Engineers after four years with Snyder & Associates, Inc. There he was director of the firm’s water and wastewater services. His duties included business development, project management, resource management and allocation. During his career, he has been a national practice leader for water and wastewater at CTE; a staff engineer and project manager in the Salt Lake City office of Montgomery Watson and head of the Department of Environmental Engineering at Utah State University. He has also served as a development engineer specialist for the US Air Force and a private consultant conducting an array of feasibility studies for private industry, government agencies and consulting engineering firms.
Dr. Reynolds earned his degrees in civil and environmental engineering from Utah State University. He interrupted his early college years to do two years of full-time missionary work. He has co-authored two wastewater textbooks, has writings in more than 150 technical publications and served as a principal author of the EPA Design Manual for Wastewater Stabilization Ponds.
