REGIONAL ENGINEERING MANAGER/PROJECT MANAGER

Travel: Yes 25% of time

Position Requirements

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

The incumbent plans, develops, implements, and evaluates business strategies focused on generating revenue and meeting financial goals and objectives for the regional office.  The incumbent will also function as a Strategic Client Manager focusing on maximizing client contact time.  The incumbent must create a management team within their region to execute business strategies in accordance with corporate expectations and grow their regional office presence.  The major functional areas for this job include work performed in sales, marketing, client management, technical management, general management, and financial. Will develop budget and staffing plans for the regional office. Must meet financial goals and objectives.  Communicate the corporate business vision and values with meaning, direction and focus.  Provide entrepreneurial focus with strong financial and business acumen. Successful sales and marketing and leadership skills resulting in profitable business growth. Knowledge of targeted regional markets in both public and private sectors. Recruit, train, develop, mentor, and retain key employees to support regional business growth objectives. Lead and foster an environment of continuous learning and growth.

Minimum Required Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing engineering or science and technology projects with a proven track record of achieving financial goals and objectives. MUST have a demonstrated track record in the civil/environmental engineering field. MUST be familiar with local municipalities and local clients and have ability to reach key decision makers in the Washington, DC area.

Special Qualifications/Specific Skills:

Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills to document completed work tasks, give project status reports, and prepare final engineering analysis reports for clients. Candidate must be a motivated self-starter, able to work in a team environment with other engineers and technicians.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science related fields. Advanced Degree(s) strongly desirable. Registered Professional Engineer or equivalent certification desirable. Project Management experience in the engineering field required.

Required Registrations/Certifications/Clearances
PE license preferred.
