GIS TECHNICIAN

Position Requirements

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Development and maintenance of GIS platforms for municipal and industrial clients.
• Generate data attribute tables that can/will be linked to GIS platforms.
• Work with Project Managers to create GIS drawings that provide data attribute information in graphic form on drawings for clients.

Minimum Required Experience:

1 to 5 years progressive experience in consulting engineering field dealing with municipal water and wastewater GIS platforms and drawings. In depth knowledge of ArcGIS and Geodatase and a working knowledge of ArcIMS, ArcObjects and ArcSDE.

Special Qualifications/Specific Skills:

Candidate must possess computer skills for data analysis and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills to document completed work tasks, give project status reports, and prepare final engineering analysis reports for clients. Candidate must be a motivated self-starter, able to work in a team environment with other engineers and technicians.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Systems, Geography or other related fields.

Required Registrations/Certifications/Clearances
Intro to ArcGIS I Training Certificate from ESRI.
