"Drilling For Treasure" Engineering News Record By Pam Hunter with Johnathon Barnes April 2011
Chester Engineers is providing solutions to some of the environmental questions regarding Marcellus Shale. In a recent article published in ENR (Engineering News Record, April 18, 2011), Chester's president and CEO, Robert Agbede, explains what is on the horizon for the company.
"Other firms, including Pittsburgh-based Chester Engineers, are working to develop mobile treatment facilities that can treat and recycle water at well sites. Chester Engineers also is evaluating an alternative drilling method for combined fracking and drilling using a high-pressure cutting head rather than the head typically used, says Chester's president and CEO, Robert Agbede. He says if successful, the technology will be able to recycle and reuse the water for cutting and other operations and therefore, lower the overall consumption of water while reducing energy consumption."
