Department Of Energy Environmental Surveillance Sampling And Analysis

Chester Engineers provided EG & G Technical Services Incorporated with environmental sampling and analysis to "monitor the effects, if any, of Department of Energy (DOE) activities on on-site and off-site environmental and natural resources."


Scope of Work
The Scope of Work for this project included project management and environmental sampling and analysis on groundwater, wastewater, drinking water, creek sediment, potable water, and water treatment facility influent and effluent streams. Sampling was conducted at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) research facilities located in Pittsburgh, PA and Morgantown, WV.

Both NETL facilities have a total of 47 groundwater-monitoring wells. The NETL-Pittsburgh research center also included surveillance of the wastewater treatment plant. Sampling at the NETL-Morgantown research center also included the facility wastewater clarifier.
