Phases I & II Site Investigations Environmental & Geotechnical Engineering

Chester Engineers was retained by Mackin Engineering Company to provide a Phase I Preliminary Area Reconnaissance/Initial Site Investigation (PAR/ISA) and a combined Phase I and II Preliminary and Detailed Geotechnical Alternative Analysis for the widening and straightening of Center Avenue in New Stanton Borough, Westmoreland County, PA.


Scope of Work
The PAR/ISA consisted of reviewing site-specific background data, site visits, interviews with property owners and regulatory agencies. The combined Phase I and Phase II Geotechnical Alternatives Analysis consisted of a geologic reconnaissance of the site, review of published and unpublished geologic and soil conservation literature. and preparation of a preliminary geotechnical analysis. A final report was submitted which included our findings, conclusions and recommendations.
