Turnkey GIS Implementation in West Mifflin

Chester Engineers implemented a sewer system GIS for the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority. The GIS has been developed to support sewer system operations. The GIS includes new digital orthophotography, parcel conversion, GPS surveys of surface sanitary sewer features and conversion and mapping of hard copy sanitary sewer facilities data. All of this data was registered to the Allegheny County land base. Software installation and training was also provided. During this project, a total of 9,850 parcels were converted. Approximately 3,000 sanitary manholes and over 633,000 feet of sanitary sewer were mapped.
